The Lion’s Club is seeking “civic-minded” men and women on campus to join them in working together to meet needs within the community. Lion’s Club international is the largest community service organization in the world with over 1.3 million members serving in 46, 000 clubs.

This organization makes its number one goal to serve while having fun.Ralph Schieferstein, former District Governor and president of the Dover Lion’s Club chapter is more than excited to share some information about the new chapter.

“Our motto is ‘We Serve’.  By offering the club members guidance and the motivation to provide service to their “community”, Schieferstein explained.

The campus will become a better place.  How better to make your mark than to provide service.” he added. Once on campus, the organization will need student leaders who are dedicated and have a heart that moves them to serve.

Mr. Schieferstein shared that the vision statement of the Lion’s Club is “to be the global leader in community and humanitarian service.”All students who are looking to make their impact on the world through leadership and achieve the gratification of giving back should most certainly look into Lion’s Club.

The first chapter of the Lion’s Club is definitely ready to make its mark on the campus of Delaware State University.
